Each year gets a little better. Had a great time, again.. ran a ton of trails this year, some new ones even. the fog on Saturday was interesting for sure. Big thanks for Marc and Court for their help getting me unstuck.. And non-stop camp antics always make for some fun stories. Had a lot of fun at the raffle, thought it was very well orchestrated, it almost didn't matter who won everyone was happy for them-

And everyone I talked to at camp, on trails, or at one of the in-town events was super cool... typical HIH. can't wait for next year, guys.

Here are a few of my better pics... couple from Black Bear, couple from Last Dollar, and top of Corkscrew.

Linda and I are finally getting around to going through our photos, so here are a few teasers.

@bluecruiser and @paflytyer we had an excellent time and it was great to see everyone again. Can't wait until next year!

Been a long ride home for me. After leaving HIH HQ yesterday, I noticed my voltage was way low on both batteries. By the time I hit Ridgway, one battery was 10.5 and the other was 11.1 and neither was charging.

Stopped at Turner Toyota in Montrose but they didn't have an alternator. Couldn't get one until Wednesday. NAPA couldn't get one until Thursday.

I had the dealership charge both batteries and I bought a third. I also bought a solar charger to maintain whatever battery I was using. The plan was to drive home to Denver on 3 batteries and a charger.

Unfortunately, I didn't leave Montrose until 3:30 and it would likely be dark before making it to Denver, so I detoured to Aspen (home of HIH Hooligans Anders and Tim) for the night.

I lost everything just outside of Aspen and Tim brought me a battery booster to get me to his house. Charged both batteries last night and disconnected the DRL's before heading home to Denver this morning. Hoping to make it without using the $150 Toyota battery so I can return it.

@aegustafson and @74bruiser both immediately responded to my text asking for a place to stay. Just one of the many reasons why the Hooligans are a big part of HIH.

The official HIH7 Trip Report thread will be up this evening.

That's a lot more problems than whatever the clunk was. Did you ever figure out what that was?

Having vendors like you do what you do at HIH is one of the truly great things to see. Seeing someone really engaged and truly caring for this community and customers is super awesome! Thanks Tim! When I can swing it, you've got my vote on a bunch of things you have on your site.

Here are a few photos I took at HIH7. It was fun to meet everyone.

I promise...... I'm working on the trip report. Photos and stories will go in there. We need @woody to set us up with our own HIH subset thread in the 100 series forum. This thing has grown beyond what we were expecting. Chris and I are already talking about what and where for additional events. 100s in Moab is already in the planning stages. Maybe Cali, Montana, Central Colorado, East Coast.......

If anyone is interested in writing an article about HIH7 for Toyota Trails, it will be published and you will be paid for your work. Contact me for details.

The IH8MUD home page does trip articles too ;-)

Great photos y'all, keep 'em coming!

I reeeeeeally hope to make it next year!

Can I just give you my registration fees now?

Keep me in mind for a 100s in Cali event. I would love to help host co/host an event in our mountains. We have awesome trails and group locations that would make for a great event!
Cheers
Aaron
