78 BJ40 Coolant Overflow photos (1 Viewer)

My 78' BJ40 does not have an overflow tank. I'm trying to buy one, but I need to see some photos to see what type is required and how it is mounted.

Can you all post some photos?

hmm...well mine is just a little plastic bottle , almost square mounted with the lid a little lower than the rad cap...Don't think it's much different from a 60 one, and for YEARS I had it just sorta stuffed in front of the starboard battery, where it seemed to sit quite happily.





I'd send you a pic, but my engine compartment is a little unusual....;p

I can send you a pic of the bottle itself if you want? not sure how it origially mounted, looks like it sorta slid onto a flat tab...


hell if I can find another coolant bottle laying about in my shed you could have my 40 series one. doesn't really matter what shape it is for me.

course, like everything about my cruiser....it ain't all that pretty
