Spotted this on Daytona Craigslist. It's not mine, I just thoght I'd pass it along. From the ad:

"I have a 1973 Toyota FJ55 Land Cruiser for sale. I have been using the Cruiser as my primary vehicle for the past few years, With my kids getting older, I need something more practical. The cruiser is in good original condition. I just had the top of the motor rebuilt. It has the original F1 motor in it, a 3 speed transmission, fairly new tires, a 3" lift and a luggage rack. The cruiser has some minor rust spots, needs a seal so the back window can go up and down. It has a radio in it , but doesn't work. I hate to sell it but its time!! She is a rare hard to find head turner. If you have an interest in the FJ 55 Land Cruiser, come take a look & test drive... you wont be disappointed! I am asking $8000.00.Cash or possibly interested in trading for a small truck with an extra cab or 4 doors. (Colorado, Canyon, Frontier or Tacoma.)

Just to be clear, this ain't my piggy. I have no affiliation with the seller. I thought it was strange he raised the price almost 50%.

Almost bought this truck about four years ago. It was out in East Texas back then. It was clean, but not worth that.

huh all you people with broken tailgate gears, you just need a new seal to make the window go up and down.


on the positive side, all these high prices should mean that the blue pig will be a bargain when i put it on the market

I think as I get older, I am getting crankier. Why do sellers on Craigslist refer to these engines as "F1" or "F2"?

It is a 1F (or just plain F) or 2F or 3FE. You wouldn't say, "Hey I am selling a very nice FE3 engine! It has only been submerged once..."
