We call her patches. Between her name and the pics you can see why. In my dads time they would have called her a “sleeper”. She may not look the best but boy does she run. I used her for an everyday driver during the summer and on sunny days I still jump in and take her for a spin into town. She is reliable, runs great and starts the first time every time.
She is powered by a 350 Chevy engine and her original rebuilt 3 speed manual transmission. At some point her original gas tank was taken out and replaced with a 22 Gal tank.
We rebuilt the steering box and replaced all the wheel cylinders and brake shoes and she stops great without pulling.
We don’t know a lot of history on the old gal, we do however know she has bondo in the tub, those panels you see in the back are probably covering up rust and most of her gauges are not hooked up or are not working- never cared enough to check. We bought a new windshield and the motor and hardware are all there (not from a 73 as you can see), we just never got around to hooking it up.
The top and doors are in perfect condition. They came off my 74 Landcruiser. (I prefer the soft top) so I will let them go with this cruiser. All the glass is good and all the hardware and felt on the doors are brand new.(No rattling or windows slowly falling down)
She is currently tagged and registered in Lake County California. I originally bought her to hunt in and wheel on the weekend but I then bought another and I now have two and as much as it breaks my heart one has to go.
If you are looking for a hunting rig or fixer upper or just something to take out and play in this could be the landcruiser for you. More pics avail $3500/obo
