Random question time. After some searching I haven't found many options on where to put my hi-lift in my 73. I am looking for ideas or how you all store yours (yes I know some just store them in the garage because its safer, however I've found when you need it, it does come in handy). @HomerOz 's side mount comes to mind: Some new Side Steps, for my BJ73. - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/some-new-side-steps-for-my-bj73.1031421/ or maybe the older Manafre style spare tire mount. Anyway, I am up for ideas.

Did you figure something out?
Thinking of mounting one myself.

Do you have a roof rack?
** And no, you’re not going blind, the photo is blurry. 😊

Low budget soft top means no roof rack.
I’m thinking the easiest thing would be to put it on the front porch bumper.

I have a bumper with swing outs. I have storage boxes hanging out in that location.

Have the same issue.
Figured that rear or front bumper would be best, in terms of weight height, strength of structure (FRP TOP mounted rack is not the way to go in my eyes), and available real-estate.
Please do share your solution.
Good luck

I see a lot of Jeep owners (aka, the rubber duck guys) mount their jacks on the hood or on the brushbar flush with the hood but having a large “potential projectile” there always gave me the heebie-jeebies. 😊

@umpqua did something similar, but utilized the tabs of the ARB with some standoffs.

Hi Lift.webp

Can be seen here:

Has served him well through over 2 years of traveling from the US to the bottom of South America. More real world experience that average Jeep owner.
