72 FJ55 Project - clean body- 8 Ben Franklins!

Selling a 1972 FJ55 body and chassis that would be a great candidate for restoration – particularly if you want to re-power the truck with something other than a 1F. The third owner of the truck began dismantling it for restoration around 10 years ago, working on it off and on in his garage over the years, but eventually lost interest in the project.

The body is in very good shape with very few dents or dings. The typical rocker panel, fender, and rain gutter rust is not present on this truck. Notice in the pictures that these areas are in outstanding condition. There is rust at the bottom of several of the door openings and the tailgate, where apparently water condensed over the years of sitting. The passenger fender has a dent and some bondo, but I have not found any other evidence of bondo on the truck. One door has a hinge that pulled through the sheet metal, so is not currently attached to the truck. The seats are in good condition and were recovered at some point with marine vinyl. There is no engine available.

The factory original floormats are included and are in decent condition. One rear cargo window is missing and one rear door window is broken.

Also includes a 3spd transmission, and t-case. I'll be adding pictures of the grill, inner fenders, nose, radiator and some other small parts later this weekend. Edit: also includes a 1F if you want it. Previous owner said it threw a rod.

I'm not interested in parting this truck out right now, so don't ask. If it doesn't sell as a whole I'll part it out, and yall will be the first to know.

If you need pictures of something specific, let me know.

I can help with delivery, just ask.

Will consider trade for a beater 40. Must run. Must have disk fronts.

Everything in the linked pictures that relates to a 55 is included, as well as a clean title.

$1000.00

Don't anybody go getting confused, I'm not parting it out.

Somebody bring me 8 ben franklins and resurect this prize.

If you were closer, I would buy it. I have all the parts needed-3FE, 4speed, split case...

Bump for ya anyway. Good luck.

Great 55

I'm actually glad you aren't cloer to PA- your 55 is in way better shape rust and body wise than my 78. $800 is a great price if you were closer I'd own it already. Will send you a private email with a thought and an offer. I will say this- the parts on this truck that are good- front fenders, floors, hood are well worth the asking price. I've stripped a lot of rusty pigs in my day, wheeled one before my current oirange and white truck, and few have been as solid as this one. Bump for a great pig!!!! Gary S (Shmukster)
