I have a 1972 FJ. How do I identify which spark plug wires I need to buy? Can this be done via the VIN number somehow? It looks like the wires changed around 9/72. Is that correct?

-Just go to the dealer and buy the factory wires, they stay on better than after market and seal for moisture better, they are not that expensive, Larry

Look on your driver's side door frame. It will tell you when your cruiser was manufactured (i.e. month/year). If it was 8/72 or earlier, get the early style wires. 9/72 or later, get the newer style.

Good luck!
