I have a 72 that had an old worn out rochester on it. I since then have bought an aisen carb to put on it. I have looked for quite some time and have not found where I am supossed to hook up the electrical wire on it. Can anyone help me there? Thanks a bunch.

My 73 has a connection in the same bundle of wires (loom) as the temp sensor and emissions temp sensor and is routed along the valve cover. I think, however, any 12V source that is off the ignition should work. So with key "on" it is powered and fuel flows for idle, key "off" and no fuel for idle. You can hear it click when you have it right and the ignition is turned on.

Thanks for the replies. This helps alot. Also I just looked at the vacume lines connected to the carb. Do you guys know what goes where? I was told the mushroom looking part attaches to the intake manifold and the vacum advance attaches to the bottom line on the engine side. But there is one more spot on the fender side at the base of the carb that I am not sure about.

I have the mushroom thing (choke breaker I think it's called) hooked up to the port at the base of the carb on the fender side.

Nothing attached to intake manifold except brake booster. There is a little gizmo screwed in to the forward part of the intake with 2 hose attachments. I just looped them together.

If you have a port at the base on the engine side, that would be the dizzy advance I think. Mine has none, it is a vacuum retard dizzy that ran everything through some little vacuum thingy that mounts on the driver side fender.
