havent done the wiring yet.
did get the rear full floater axle wrapped up. (well waiting for more studs to show up, locally i could only find 2 lol)
man, having deja-vu lol got the drain plug all welded up.
also wrapped up the rear brakes. using fj80 full floater hubs, fj40 vented front rotors mounted like how the fronts are setup. via the back. had to cut the rotor a little to fit over the larger FF hubs. also using gm metric calipers mounted on weld on brackets. all seemed to rather well for a change
also setup the brake lines. will finish mounting them with clamps once i get it under the truck and placement of the spring hangers.
my only concern is the brake bracket. it doesn't seem very thick but its all i can find.

also made up a gauge holder. thinking i might redo it and get some smaller gauges to fit more. dont want to hack up the dash to much lol

how about some more wiring? and some DIY
i picked up a a factory stile gm headlight switch so i needed to crimp the terminals.
so here is a proper crimp. please dont cheap out on this
i went one step farther and soldered it up. some will say this is not needed, but what the hell. I like to.
next cover it in good shrink tubing. i like to use shrink that has a water sealer inside. so when you shrink it, it oozes out a bit and seals it nice and tight.
next up is zip tieing them together. I like to do this first, then after i finish the whole truck i will go back and put on either split loom or split braided covering.
when cutting zip ties, dont use crappy normal side cutters. the bottom zip tie is normal side cutters. these leave a stupid sharp pieces that will cut you
the one on the top was cut with some nice side cutters.
pick up some of these cutters. even made in the USA

how about a small update.
finished up the front hangers. (not welded in this pic)
i did end up moving the hanger about 1" back as it was just a little to steep of an angle for me.
been doing some body work also. "straight" body the guy said lol
i was about to weld up some of the extra holes so i started cleaning up the area around it, and man, found some filler.
the front part had almost 3/4" of filler lol. wtf
also made up some bottom plates, a starting point for some sliders. this is just 3x3 angle.
also finished up the front bumper (man this pic makes it look ugly lol, needs small tires so it fits in the garage)
