70 Troopy on the Rubicon Trail

Anybody on here? I was the guy in white 40 on 40" tires going back towards Loon Lake I slowed down to talk to you for a second..

Did you make it all the way thru? That is a nice rig!!

Yeah, like the guy I met on the Rubicon while driving my 70. He has a total beater 40 on 1 ton chevy running gear. SBC, nothing Toyota left except the sheet metal. A great trail rig. That has to be trailered to the trail.

He tells me "I'll trade you mine for yours". All I said was, "I'm sure you would".

Hey I have Dodge Amberlamps 1 tons... OK!! very clean body..

AND I drove it from the bay area doing 80 mph the whole way.. no chit.. I've driven it to SnT also.. I purpose built mine to be street friendly and spank the trail.... I would be willing to wager pink slips with you on a race (in the curvies, no straight crap) after the first 2 turns you wouldn't see me anymore.. hell we could even throw some boulders in the mix just for fun..
