70 series knuckle to 80 series

HI , can you answer my question I am converting my 1991 hzj73 cruiser to coils and I have a set of 80 series diffs which I intend to use, I wish to replace my 80 series knuckles with my 70 series knuckles as they are mint ,so 80 series diffs with 70 series knuckles and change the steering arms around as per 70 series, Can this be done?????. are not your 70 series knuckles smallest than the 80 series ..?

I am hoping some one would know if the knuckle of a 70 would fit onto a 80 series ball as they are both of the same year?

I have mixed a few parts over the years and lots are interchangable.
The spindle holds the key to success, just dive into it!

I like the HZJ79 birfs and flanges on the FZJ/HDJ80/81

Hi its been awhile mechanic tried to to see what would work,every thing was really close but no nothing was going to fit. I just went ahead and brought new stuff to replace every thing that was rusty,now I can sell all the old 70 series stuff . I hope this helps others who have parts lying around.Cheers
