did you find that intercooler on ebay because I have the exact same car and I want to put a intercooler in it just like yours so can you please help me?

Yes, here is my write up with more pictures: LJ78 Air/water intercooler working! System works very well, but if you don't have an A/C system, you would be better off with a simple air/air intercooler like this one (scroll down): How to Install a Intercooler on a '91 Prado EX5 (2L-TE)? Much cheaper and simpler.

If you don't want to cut your hood you could buy a new one. I just ordered a couple of the hoods below for two of my cruisers as I will be going with top mount inter-coolers.

I appreciate the kind offer. I guess I'm just stuck in an "old school" mindset but I just don't care for the "hole in the hood" look.

I guess you were never lucky enough to own a muscle car:

1) Correct, I was never lucky enough to own a muscle car.
2) I grew up on a farm and the only "scoop" I saw was on the front of a tractor.
3) To be clear, It's not that I don't like scoops. I simply don't like them on Land Cruisers.
4) As far as vehicles go, if it couldn't haul hay, we didn't own it.

Who makes this hood? Does it already come with the vent built in?

my go at a FMIC in a 78 starts here, plenty of room if your willing to cut metal and possibly change your AC radiator for one that pushes the pipes out sideways.

Edit: sorry, as much as i've tried, i can't get the link to direct to the correct post... it starts at post #33, not the one further up the page it keeps directly to :( don't know how to fix this

With a good fan, a top-mount doesn't heat soak.
