Does any one know if these fender flairs are available to buy or are they custom?

Custom and Im glad they are not mass produced

While we're on this topic I discovered today that Toyota still carries the rubber seal for the OEM flares. $31 apiece but they have them.

..and now I have them :grinpimp:

Try arctictrucks.is or Formverk.is; I would guess that the price is about 2000 USD.

I am not sure that have the molds, but a decade ago they were available for; 35", 38" and 44" tires.

My old one;

The front flaires are however custom on my old LJ

The factory flares are s***.
Rust traps, they just catch crud because they are hollow.

I just did the rubbers on my front guard flares and the guard was perfect underneath :meh:

There's a gap at the bottom to allow crud to slide out.

Still a L to catch s***. I wash the truck and have to stick the hose up there for like a minute and its chocolate milk spewing out. I just think of all the winter salt corroding s*** up there. Yuck.

LineX in the spring!

flaires

The factory flaiers are to narrow for larger tires.
Wide flaires and narrow tires do look Goofy.:steer:

The orange one is has 4,5" wide flaires, that suits tires on 12-14" with rims.

This one has 12" with rims, a bit to narrow;

Hello,

Yes, they do. But it takes only a few bolts to take them out and wash them. And there is the fun of doing it.

A good reason to spend time with your Cruiser, I think.

On the other hand, those flares are tougher than they look; they may help preventing damage to your fenders in case of a collision. Easier to repair than the body. The other vehicle may not be so lucky... Ask me how I know.

i would love to have flairs like that for my truck
anyone one knows what they would cost?

anyone know where I can get factory or as close as factory wheel fender flares all 4 for 1989 BJ74...2 door 70 series

The factory flares are still available for most models. There are a couple of big caveats. The fenders need to be drilled and figuring out where to drill would be a major project. My 95 was came drilled with the holes but had some cheap The flares attach with a lot of custom fasteners, the factory parts sheets are not easy to get the right ones and right quantity on order. It took me two rounds of orders to get them all. I started a thread awhile ago with pictures.
