Could this be a Mud member's rig? Looks like a nice start to an interesting build. No affiliation ...

That's an appealing write-up in the eBay ad. Question: from the write-up and the photos, it appears those sliders are welded to the rear quarter panels and to.....that's it. Can that be right? Can that be an appropriate method? But on the other hand if they also attach to a frame member then there goes the skin the first time the tires see a bump, so....
Maybe I'm just confused at seeing what he calls sliders and what I think of sliders.:confused::confused:

Agreed, if the sliders are welded to sheetmetal that has no other support, the sheetmetal isn't going to hold much load. Perhaps there is factory structure to that panel (I'm not familiar with Pig quarters) or he added some. He clearly understands the advantages of low CG combined with bigger rubber and there appears to be nice attention to detail in his work, so I would be surprised if it is just tubing welded to sheetmetal. :meh: Pretty easy to remedy if he messed up tho ... Hope someone on Mud grabs it and finishes it!
