maybe instead of Re-print's ..............

really there Miss-Prints ?

like the trash from quality control measures or a first runs of the day till the machines get tweaked type deal

sorta like a proof or rough draft

this might explain those inconsistencies

Went back and looked at the guy's Land Cruiser listings before the sudden 55% discount: an $1,800 parts manual, a $900 glovebox owner's manual, etc..

I think the type books he really should be selling are "Fairy Tales" !

A few years back I ordered one of the SOR Owners Manuals for my 1972 FJ40. After 40 years of carrying my original manual in the glove box I decided I better preserve it and carry a reprint. I was really disappointed when I received the reprint and found that was a totally revised version that completely lacked the charm of the original manual. I have no idea what these guys on Ebay are peddling, but in all likelihood it won't be an original.

Here are some shots of the original vs the reprint and some showing the text in the original (missing in the revision) is irreplaceable.

The content of the revised versions is admittedly improved, but how could you possibly do you top the poetry of the original?

Toyota did reproduce(think about $10 a pop) owners manuals but not for years now(and not sure if for 67). the one on Ebay is not toyota. Back in the day we could even order microfiche from Mr T....and I still have an enormous printing fisch in the attic. I need to find a compact reader.

I have a SOR repro manual(65?) with my tool roll in the 45LV, I have the originals(bet I have 50+) all packed away(which is kinda sad)
