You @$%#&*#% got all the baseball now and the good people of Tucson are stuck paying for these fxxxing ballparks with no ML teams anymore.

One more reason I dislike phx. :flipoff2:

ps: I don't like baseball, but I don't like paying for this s*** even more.

This is why professional sports needs to stand or fall WITHOUT government interference of ANY kind.

Same goes for "sponsoring" the Olympics. If it's such a great deal someone in the private enterprise will step up to the plate.

Hey I don't even live in Tucson (but my son Eric does at UofA) and I think it stinks too. Tucson Electric Park is a GREAT place to catch a game. Big enough to have a good active crowd yet small enough to feel "small-town". I'm gonna miss it. Bud Selig: Worst thing EVER to happen to MLB.

I remember when TEP was first built. We used to make the trip from Sierra Vista all the time to catch games. Sure hope they find something to replace the lost revenue.

Word is they are courting Japanese and Mexican baseball to fill the venue. They won't get near the draw with that of course.

Pisses me off that they built TEP out i the middle of nowhere, when if they had used Rio Nuevo funds and built it near the downtown, like they did with Chase field in Phoenix, it would have done the revitalization of the downtown without the hundreds of millions we have thrown at it with no results.
