can a 60 grill and headlights be put on a 62? i rally like those lights and my grill is cracked.

It can be done, I've seen it, but it's more involved than that. The radiator core support has to get changed out, I think the valence too, and the fenders have to be slightly modified. But I agree, I like the 60 nose better.

Ken, what needs to be done to the fenders? Aren't they listed as the same part # throughout production? Just curious, I may have scored a front clip and might be going this route soon.

You *definitely* need to change the front valance and the radiator sorround, as the light buckets mount to it and they're completely different...

There is a fender difference but I have used 60 fenders on 62 and the other way around without issue. The entire ft clip will unbolt and switch out so you can have the 60 lights. Looks aside, the 62 has a better lighting set up.

62 Headlights....

I used to like the 60 better as well (the front end), but when I ran across my 62 I couldn't pass it up. It is one gorgeous truck!
The front end of the 62 grew on me quickly and I now prefer it. Of course that may be simply because I own a 62 and not a 60.
The lighting is very efficient on the 62 though! :)

I don't remember what it is, but there is a very slight difference. Like David says, you can modify your existing fenders. It might be something about the marker light, or where some of the bolts are, something like that.

I agree with dd113, the 60 front end looks better (in most peoples opinion), but the 62 lighting system is superior. This is a function over fashion dilemma.

Do what you think is right. and good luck.

I don't agree about the lighting, making an upgraded harness for a 62 so you can run H-4's/H-1 with higher watage bulbs is a art that only one person has mastered, no one makes a plug and play harness.

fj60 with h4 80/100 and IPF's lens kicks some major booty :)

Even stock I'll take a 60 lighting over a 62.

and they 62 4 headlights kinda growns on you.....I wouldnt change it unless i was replaceing all the sheetmetal from an accident......even then I wouldn't bother.
