Hi all, current drive is a 61 series 12HT factory turbo at 195,000 km I'm it's 3 rd owner so only a kitten. My question is has anyone done a successfull twincab conversion to one of these, I want to maintain the current wheel-base and install a custom service body so everthing has it's place:cheers:

Guys chop them all the time, no reason you couldn't do it. The Aussie guys tend to cut their trucks a lot more, but there are definitely people here that do it. What you're planning actually seems much easier than most, as there's nothing really structural that you'd be cutting, and it's easy to find a lift gate.

IF you have ambulance doors that you're losing, I'll take them off your hands.

Sorry mate no Ambo doors, although I don't see the attraction, after all where are you going to sit and have a beer.

We just like them because you couldn't get them here in the states. It's a novelty.

Thats what I'm after, would like to see images of how the cab was closed off if you have um, would also be handy to have tray dimension and how much was added to the chasis. TY.

I'll have to sort through my photos.
The truck is not mine, I asked a guy in OZ to send me the photos, he had the truck listed on ebay.
It could take me a few days, but I get on it.
I'd be of no help with the Dimensions though.

That Aussie truck also has a very long wheelbase...........if you notice the diamond-plate over the rear wheelwells............

maybe not a 60 frame?

This is my personal favourite 60 dual cab.

The pics were posted by 'Mud Empire' on Outerlimits. I think that he did the conversion for a customer. Looks great!
