And you'll be replacing those fugly rims this week i presume?

Tomtoyota:

1. I think the rims are neeto, maybe paint them black.
2. Didn't see that one hit Craigslist...?
3. Cool license plates, don't chuck them when you register down there.
4. Who's other Champagne rig is that in the background.

1. 1990 HJ61

2. Ivan

3. the truck

4. 420,000

5. It has a huge custom bullbar with some massive winch built in, I think its raised 2", Dual Batteries, spotties

6. To tow jetski's, beach cruising and i plan to travel around Australia, not too keen on hardcore wheeling as this HJ61 has to be one of the cleanest examples around

7.

There's plenty of other things to do on this truck, its been sitting for quite a while so fluids, a couple hoses, some wiring to fix, lighting, etc...

I'm not a fan of the wheels but they do have new tires on them so i'll roll them for a while I guess. I would like just the stock chrome ones..

My fathers next door neighbor heard I wrecked my 4runner and said he had this land cruiser sitting in Oregon and all I had to do was go pick it up.. Just kinda fell into my lap..

I don't know who's other land cruiser that is in the pic, it was at the shop where I picked it up at in Oregon..

Yes I am going to keep the plates for sure, they are cool!... If the rims were black that would be much better.. If I can get the stockers or maybe some other black rims :hmm:...

1989 FJ62 Virgin

My first FJ62. Can't wait to get her up and running.

Year: 1989 fj62
owner: Dan
names: TBD
odometer: 178k
mods: all stock
use: Weekend toy. Mostly to carry my Mountain Bikes to the park and back.

Pros:
1. Cranked up right away
2. Can't find any rust on it. Body and paint are in superb conditions
3. Engine had plenty of oil

Cons:
Transmission doesn't engage on its own. By that I mean I have to hold it in drive; otherwise, it doesn't engage the gears. If I hold it there it shifts thru all of the gears, so I don' think it's the transmission. Must be something with the linkage. Going to have a mechanic check it out.

Besides that it just needs a complete tune-up which I plan to do all by myself. I'm going to order the TSM. Can anyone recommend me a good/cheap website to order quality parts for my tuneup job?

Pictures right off the lot. Haven't done one single thing to it yet. Not even a car wash.

89' FJ62 Chop Top SUT

Year: 1989 FJ62
Owner: Carp3tshark
Vehicle Name: TBD
Mileage:: 200K
Mods:Chopped top, 4"? lift, 20R Toyos, removable cage, etc..
Use: Grocery Getter, Kid Hauler, Desert Cruiser, Daily Driver

I just bought this sucker and have plans to fix it up. I'd like to make some more tops for it, reupholster the interior in something weatherproof, rebuild the tranny (R isn't engaging), paint, rubberized floor, etc.. First, I need to smog it in CA (gulp). Looking for ideas...
