Have you looked at the r151 hundred series gearbox with an adaptor from eBay to pair the two together?

I love your paint job.
The adaptor is only like 20$ I was looking at doing it in mine last week but decided I had better priorities for mine first. Check out my build thread 88 FJ62 Build.

No I don't think it will and if you can get an adaptor made up that the h55 with bolt up I would like to do the same thing. I'm not scared to scratch mine either haha

If I did it on mine I would put a supercharger on it because I have done a few superchargers on them at my old work haha

i was thinking of super charging it but i dont like the idea that they use power to make power and i have one gt28rs that i had on my 180sx and it use to make boost from 1250 rpm and it was a 2L so with a 4L should be the same with 2 of them and then i can have a V8 with wwwhhooo ssshhhh lol:clap:

Love the name, love the rig. I especially love the patina of green grunge that can ONLY be found in Western Washington. After 20 years in California, your "before" photos really tug at my heart. As a younger man, I bought a lot of used cars from old farts that looked a lot like your 60.

Enjoy the adventure!

The engine was apart for a head gasket job the PO never finished. Four years later he put it on craigslist. It came with another non running engine for parts (some were lost over the last four years). It's together and runs, but when I put water in it the water pump started to leak pretty bad. I have another on the spare engine but having trouble finding just a gasket from local parts stores. Just did an online request from local dealer. We'll see if they have one. Also the air pump is pretty noisy, maybe at the end of it's rope too. She cleaned up pretty good, not a rust bucket, just a couple of spots. Looking forward to getting it on the road. Shouldn't be too much longer.

samh nice tilt-shift photography!

I like stock 62's :D

Mea Culpa re Truck Scum

And South Western BC. :)

Forgive me, I know well the wonder of SW BC.

My wife cracks up every time I see a scene from a TV show shot in Vanc or environs and get excited.:bounce::bounce::bounce:

The skies, the moist flora, the greenish Land Cruisers...and those diesels!
