Been looking for a while and lurking on IH8MUD for a while. Finally found the FJ62 for me.

1. 1989 FJ62
2. Adam
3. PO called her Lola and I think it's going to stick
4. 193,000 miles
5. Bone Stock
6. Weekend wagon and future light off-road

Just picked her up last weekend. Impeccable mechanicals and painstakingly maintained. She's got some little rust boo-boos that are the first and most urgent update. just some scraped paint that went untreated. Long-term I'm looking to do and OME lift with some 31s. Maybe some Hellas on the front bumper. Then the interior work begins.

If you have any body shop or mechanical recommendations in the Portland area, I'd appreciate it!

It looks even better right-side-up.

oh i don't know, she looks pretty damn nice upside down:D

i know there's a great guy in your area but i can't remember his name. someone on here will remember though. or just post up in the forums, someone will chime in. if you're planning on doing a lot of work to her, there is a great guy in mukilteo (30 miles north of seattle) who is totally worth the drive. let me know and i'll pass along his info.

I had an Aunt Lola. During prohibition my Uncle John used to brew his own beer in the basement and then have his roofer buddies by to get hammered. After tiring of this, she went down to the basement and added a significant amount of lavender soap to the beer. After several days of the runs my uncle's buddies wouldn't drink with him any more. Mission Acomplished. She would be proud to have a vehicle famous for the same thing named for her.

Well met, young PDX, well met.

I've got plans for a roof rack and some sort of off road bumper for the rear, maybe a little bedliner on the sides and maybe some 33s. Lockers for sure (when I can afford it).

Wow, that's a great story FreePowder! The expectations put on this rig just got raised. I'm not done until I smuggle contraband.

great name!

Thanks Ya'll. I am really excited. I will post some more pics as i can... delivered to me with 161,451 miles on it. Has the usual issues with being a 23 years old, and thanks to this site (and my brother) I am figuring out how to fix some of them. The major issue right now is there is some rust on the rocker panels and around door edges and living in a coastal town that is not good. I am currently looking to find someone here to take care of all the rust and then will think about other stuff. I really like the look as it is... more comfy seats with some arm rests will be kinda close to the top of the list.

My first FJ60

So my sickness began with a 1988 FJ62 and couple years and a Kid later I have my DD 97 FZJ80 parked next to this baby.

1984 FJ60 - Name pending.....
