I usually park in the 28th and Colo. lot. As far as I know I'm the only guy with a 60 parked in there. See you around.

Realized I never threw my name in the hat...

Production Date: August of 85
Name: Scott
Rig's Name: "Baby Blue"
Mileage: 85k
Mods: completely stock when I bought her this spring, sold my 100 series for her...I've tried to maintain the stock look - OME Light/Medium, greasable shackles, OME shocks...just put 31x10.5x15 studded snow tires on her (pics below are the 235x75x15's BFG's from when I bought her), and am pricing out H55 conversion estimates for the swap this spring. There is absolutely zero rust, solid original paint, never had any body work, all paperwork since she rolled off the assembly line...
Use: family camper

Couple of pics from elk camp a few weeks back...

It looks like the trimming was done to match the bottom of the rear door to me.

photo as requested:
it's in pretty good cosmetic shape minus the dingy paint. Still determining the mechanical.
Plan to keep it a bit ratty and may even art it up some. Still getting to know her.

polishing or buffing compound followed by nu-coat or some other wax treatment will make your old oxidized paint look much nicer. A nice $15 treatment to make your cruiser love you. Nice score. looks like not much rust.

Worked on my royal blue paint... beads up water now, and is much more reflective.

2nd pic made me think it was a Jeep Cherokee......had to take a few double takes. Nice looking truck though.

haha you will never see me with a jeep

I'm liking that truck, Pete!

thanks mate

did you cut the door in your rear fender trimming .. got a detailed pic . ?

Killer look BTW .. !

i did cut the door will start a build thread to show every one

It looks like the trimming was done to match the bottom of the rear door to me.

spot on mate

Awesome 60 Pete - been quietly following your progress on Perth4x4 and taking inspiration for my own.

Heres mine.
1. Year and model of vehicle 1985 FJ60
2. Name of owner Nick
3. Name of vehicle (optional) Rosey (because she makes you stop and smell the roses)
4. Mileage on the truck odometer around 200K
5. Modifications, if any 16" Split rims, Yokohama Y735b 7.50R16 tires, 350TBI SBC; ARB Bumper; Cobra 75 WX ST CB with a 5' antennae; Confer Roof rack with Hilift Jack rack and Jerry Can holder; Jensen Heavy Duty JHD1510 stereo; Tuffy Center Console and a few odds and ends. Future work: install the NV4500 transmission, install the rebuilt Warn M10K, get a dual battery set-up, fix the rust, get some HID headlights, redo the interior, on and on and on.
6. How you use the truck. DD and work (I'm an archaeologist which means mostly long highway miles punctuated with off road sessions hauling 5 adult men and a couple hundred pounds of lunches, water and gear)

Check out my 60 Series Landcruiser group on FB. I accept all membership requests!
