Took it for a quick woods cruise, it’s first under my ownership. Also I got a weight for it on the way. This is minus carpet, but there is a collie in there to make up for that. About a 1/2 tank of gas.

^ Stackin' rocks like a boss!

We can't claim all the credit, the general ramp was already there when we came down. We added some more, covered them in sand, then put the MaxTrax over to stabilize things as much as possible. Worked like a charm!
Nice!

where was that?

Hole in the Rock Trail (not to be confused with Hole in the Rock Road). Same original route in SE Utah (though opposite sides of Lake Powell), but Road is pretty easy (though beautiful), Trail is pretty legit. With the right vehicle and frame of mind there is no part of this trail that is mind numbingly technical (so don't confuse this with a rock garden kinda gig), but it is definitely a whole hell of a lot of bouncing around and slow speed in the sun. I can't imagine doing this as a one day in and one day out, that sounds like work with no exploring to me. If you are in and out in two days or less, with a more modified rig, I can easily see this being a straight forward gig. We did it with two DD's and spent a week, the 40 had two people, the Goat (my 60) had three people and three dogs, so we had an ass load of food and water (weight) on board, greatly increasing difficulty, and enjoyment.

I'm glad you had a great trip.

Just got home with my *new* '89 and couldn't resist posting a couple photos from the trip home....
