Oh sweet!

20v creme!

Parts to finish my rig finally shipped & will be here on Monday!!!

Gonna be close.......ideas fir custom home built dual case cross member, anyone

lf I recall correctly the bud built will work with the 5speed dual case set up. It was the auto dual case set up that noboby has the crossmember for. Nobody could seem to get the measurements right

I am fully aware of budbuilt....had one & it was very nice

My question was any ideas for custom, home built?

I am outta funds & therefore cannot purchase said budbuilt crossmember

Just realized I have to go to a wedding on friday night. Ill be out there saturday morning. the annual tornado usually comes through friday night anyway

Search Pirate4x4, they have a couple threads of custom crossmembers. I think one of them is even in the FAQ. Good reading.

update

Todd, Joe and I headed out to meet Tom @ the cliffs and check it out. There are alot of changes! I had the 97 so no trail scouting for me. The access road is very flat and accessible, and the main hill is now mixed up with broken asphalt, anything can get up or down it now. There is also a small rock garden near camp. It will work great for trucks and RC crawlers.

We picked a new camp (the old one is a lil moto track) This one is actually outside the cliffs, just on the other side of the fence. Nice and secluded.

We also found plenty of fire wood. Part of the changes involved alot of clearing. There are several piles of brush and wood laying around. We found one over near the rock garden that is about 80ft x 40ft, 20ft high. Im thinking we need to burn the whole thing with some gas!

Does that mean you love the place again?

I might be homeless soon so wheeling might go even more dormant than it is right now. Not sure that is even possible. if a person doesnt wheel at all, how can he wheel less...

Is the new camp up high on the hill still?

Yes, but they have laid a road to get back to the MX tracks of crushed asphalt, a front wheel drive rv could make it up.

BTW

Tom said the park is as dry as he has seen it. Which is good and bad. The valleys (all the good trails) are less muddy, but the park is dusty, which can make hill climbs extremely difficult, worse than mud.

But with this rediculous heat we are having right now. I'll throw on my Al Roker hat and predicting one of the following. It will storm like MF'er sometime this week and hopefully cool off by the weekend. Or It will storm like a MF'er this week, not cool off, and storm like a MF'er this weekend and be Africa hot.

Ugh....this event should be in the fall!

yup.

Any vehicle can get up there, RV or Saturn ;)

Sounds great

My situation is as follows
The guy who is lending me his car (I've had it since.July3rd) said he didn't want me to drive it to Chicago land, so if my truck ain't done, I may become Tim Donnyhouses brother and not make it.

On the up side, my parts for the front end arrive today
I can forego the body mounts & rear suspension bushings for now...
the rust repairs are done, the front floor clearence is done, all undercoating is done, bed liner on all interior floors is done..
The dual cases are installed & the crossmember build should be done by tonight
Drive shafts should be done tomorrow & my friend, Wes, is coming over Wednesday to help me get the frontend back in the truck........if all goes well, alignment will be done Thursday & I will be at the Jambo......if all does not go well, then.........I dunno.........

That's where I stand, hope im there to enjoy all the new & improved Cliffs upgrades

Damn!

Get to work! you have to bring me a oil pessure sending unit bitch!

:flipoff2:

cause those cost about $4 at any auto parts store.

What a cheap ass..

Really? then I will give you 8$ for one if you can find one for $4.

Tony, get your ass to work so I have somebody to snuggle at night when the tornados come.

Jenn already said, if its this hot next weekend she will be pretty desperate for your camper.

Ill let you in, no worries.

After much deliberation we have determined that between the Jambo and the Hoedown we are going with the Hoedown. At least we won't have to worry about me drowning the Saturn.

Todd, don't forget to get the little pigs rear shaft in back in faze.
