Good point on the drive down the hill.. That could be ugly. Plan would be to sleep in the rv in the lot but if the road is flat enough and no big ass rain storm is on the way, rv might have to go up the hill. Seeing as i am really going to camp and not wheel, might not have to worry about towing up that hill like last time.

Is there cab service in that town??

You know you can drive the camper up seperate from your cruiser, if you can find one that works.

I Probably have two open surfaces in the camper for firday night, and one for saturday night. Assuming darrell would be claiming one. Also assuming the campers survives PYS..

i might have to do the drive up the hill. but then again the lot might be nice and quiet when i pass out. all would depend on the road shape. as for the extra space, thanks. I would likely bring my rv just so i can use it more than twice a year. then again it could be just like my cruisers... part of the useless collection of crap i have that gets little to no use.

party like its 1999?

Ok, so just to put this out there.....im still goin

But, my 4runner is undergoin some major surgery
And may not be done by the Jambo, so I prolly ain't gonna be wheelin

Puttin in some 26mm Torsion bars, rebuilding the entire front suspension with all new poly bushings. All new ballljoints and TREs. Replacing all the body mounts with poly mounts. Replacing all the rear suspension bushings with polys.
Also will be cutting out & clearencing the front floors to prevent tire contact. As well as fixing a coupla rust holes in the rear wheel wells inside where the bed floor meets the wells & installing a roll on "bed liner" on all metal interior surfaces
I am also gonna be putting in a new dual transfercase set up.....

I hope to be done by the time this event rolls around, but not sure if its gonna happen

I may either need to ride bitch, or just sit in the river the entire time

You don't wanna sit in that river

You can ride with me :princess:

With all the "great" things you all had to say about this place I'm still on the fence about this, but I'm sure I'll be ready for some fun by this time. Haven't even touched the 40 since I got back so it may not be ready but who knows.

I spoke with Tom today, and he told me the park is actually in pretty good shape. I guess they have a couple bull dozers now and are putting them to good use. I will have my 4runner and am excited to see the changes.

If you dont plan to wheel then dont expect to get a wheeling rig up to camp with out paying wheeling rates. If you dont want to pay wheeling rates, then dont bring your wheeler, just bring a driver.

Im looking forward to some "cliffs style" camping as long as the weather holds out.

Ill be meeting Tom at the park sometime soon to check out the park and scout camp sites.

Right from their website " We have totally redone trail 1. My car could make it around trail one right now!"

Yup, Tom said he could drive his van around. (though im sure he would try to drive his van up 8....)

If trail one is a nice trail ride then we can, as a group, use it to reexplore the park and certain trails

Tom said that all the downed trees at the bottom of 10, that have been for as long as I can remember and force you to go up and around them to the left....were washed almost to the parking lot during that nasty storm we recently had.

He also mentioned that alot of the mud has been flushed out of the trails and some more rocks have popped up.

Dang!!! Now I better put the upgrades into over drive & get done.

Im startin to get a renewed sense of excitement for the Jambo!!

i have to finish my 3 link, regear the rear, and build a square tube d/s but i hope to make it. the free time of waiting to deploy helps in getting stuff done!

I will be camping on the shores of Lake Superior and miss yet another Jambo.
