Decided to change the heater hose T's today before we leave for CO. One broke easily in half while removing it and the other was crumbling on one end. I suggest updating them, it took 30 min.

There was a snafu with the rental company and they need to drop them off one day early.
I am heading to Silver Jack to camp and would rather sleep there than drive into Ouray.

Flew from SLC to Raleigh/Durham and back to SLC again yesterday (14 hours total travel time) to return my four little boys to their mother. They came out for 2 weeks with me. Now I can plan for the trip that I will leave for on Thursday. Gotta' plan quick.

Adding more. I will have cell service until about 2pm Wednesday, then on and off until about 5pm, then not again until Thursday morning.
I'll be at camp tomorrow but not sure what time! I have hit a couple slow construction zones already who slowed me down quite a bit and I think there's more ahead of me! My guess is around 4 or 5 pm.
Text me in the morning and send their info and once I get to Ouray I can call them. Unless someone else already told you of arriving earlier than that!

This is probably too late to catch many of you, but anybody got ideas about a good place to eat Saturday night? I'm rolling solo so the thought of packing a full kitchen for just me seems overkill. I'll bring some stuff for the potluck on Friday, but thought I'd go into town for dinner on Saturday. Plus, I love going out to eat at cool places when I travel. Anyone else wants to join me, lets go.

Morning everyone. This will be my first year at HIH. I live in Durango, if anyone has left something they need let me know and I might be able to bring what you need. Only about hour out from the campsite. Will be heading up tomorrow around 6:30. The good news is there is great local beer in Durango, I will bring some good options. Any requests?
Just a friendly reminder for people bringing extra fuel cans...we'll be at a high elevation and if you filled those cans at a low elevation the air in them will expand. I found that out the hard way the last time I went to Ouray.
