Franken470
SILVER Star
I've had my truck a little over a year and have used it both DD, Highway Travel, Offroad, Towing my 40 series 400 miles, and sofar am quite impressed with the truck. It has done everything I've asked of it quite well and haven't been disappointed.
First week of ownership and I installed the new Yokohama X-AT Tires in a 285/75R18... On my particular truck these tires only rub at full lock and barely on the body mount and nowhere else... They are labeled on the sidewall as a 35x11... I haven't measured them to see if true to size but on the Factory OT wheels they tuck well and look great on the truck.
Next up I took the truck to our annual cruiser event in Hot Springs, Arkansas for Southern Cruiser Crawl hosted by Cottonland Cruisers... It's a great event and this year we celebrate our 20th anniversary coming up in October.
I took some body damage on the rear bumper which was to be expected as I wanted to push the truck a little. My other is a 470 on 37's with RCLT and honestly the 550 is nearly as capable as something I've but an additonal 30k of mods into.
I quickly ordered a Victory rear bumper since mine was damaged and lead times were short. I also ordered some NashFabCo. Ditch light mounts witch serve the purpose but need a little tweaking in design to be perfect.
I went ahead and cut up my rear cupholder to house a Blue Sea Switch for an upcoming fridge install once my goose gear rear plate arrives and also got my starlink mini mount setup to go on a spare tire swingout. I have also ordered a full dissent bumper kit front and rear that I liked more than the victory since high clearance is my goal.
I also got the victory shelf installed to hold some of my gear that I always like having around and odered a hatch light kit from bullycruiser which is some of the best money spent. All accessories are wired to a swithpros unit which I mounted behind the battery on the firewall and run one dedicated wire through it near the steering column. Feeding up by the door trim allowed for no drilling of anything and seeing the clip on opening the door doesn't bother me.
I'll upload more pics and mods as they come.
