Nice Looking job there! It looks pretty good like that. Are you going to color match your cruiser?

If you'r talking to me, yes, Midnight Pearl Green with the wheels the same metalic grey wheel color that is in the inserts of the Cruiser. I don't know what color to do the top. White or maybe the same insert color from the wheels. I have to wait till the snow melts now to finish it because I am going to have it professionally sand blasted as my system is just to damn small. Or... I might be able to talk the bank (Wife) into buying a new compressor to do the job instead of paying someone else to do it.. I also want to get some new "C" stock to extend the toung and put the lunette back on. I need to locate the parts that the chain bolts on to the lunette housing because the ones I have have been welded on by the PO. I have a pintle hook and lunette housing ready to go for the rebuild. I might do that before the snow melts as another winter project. Drives the wife nuts not to have a garage for any length of time, especially in winter. If Momma aint happy, aint nobody happy.;)

very nice job photogod. maybe momma should buy you a workshop & then could work on winter projects w/o evicting her wheels....

Thanks for the comp. Momma puts up with a lot of s*#t from me so I tend not to push the envelope to much.

Almost finished

Finishing up on the topper. Painted the top with the hammered silver, don't like it, the wheels still need paint but the top and the trailer are almost done. Painted the trailer to match the truck (rattle can). After seeing how good it looks in that color I am going to have it medai blasted and paint it right when the funds arive. The strutts work perfect which is a surprrise because they are right from the top of the tailgate from an old 80. I can pick the top up four inches and the strutts raise the top the rest of the way. I made more hinges for the tailgate because the PO hacked some door hinges in there and they look hideous.

I still need to replace the hitch assy with a replacement lunette assy I have in a drawer. When I do that I will need to lift the trailer a bit to bring it up 4 to 6 inches to make the ride height look good. Another project! For now I think it looks pretty good for an "on the cheep" project.

Comments welcome, as always.
