45 Tailgate Chain Hooks

My tailgate chain hooks are not the same. One of them is about 3/4" longer than the other and has a sharper bend in it. Does anyone know if they were different for different year models or something?

Here is a pic of my set. Anyone else have pics of their hooks?

No help here, but the chains themselves look different too.

If I were to make a guess, looks like the one on the left, the bigger one was homemade, or made by somebody (shop or something) at a later date.

I think the one on the left, is home made. The bends deffinately don't match , nor does the chain.

Yeah, I was wondering if it might have been homemade possibly.

I saw a picture of some other chains/hooks the other day and one of them appeared to be longer than the other, so I was curious.

Long shot I know, but does anyone have one chain like the one on the right they would be interested in selling or trading for something?

The ones you saw were sent to me by orange45, the one that was longer had been bent, but was easly bent back to stock.

I got some last year from SOR. They were used but the right ones.

If you are near any shop that does Rod Iron work they could match the original hook for you.
