I have heard a few people talking about the rims on a 40th being slightly different. I need 1 new wheel for my 97 40th. Whats the difference. I can not see one in pictures. I have been trying to find another cruiser to scope out the wheels but the only one I found was another 40th. Can someone post a pic of the older wheel, when i use search the pics do not work.
thanks in advance

On the 40th wheels the inside of the milled out cuts is painted gray or whatever color you want to call it. If you look at yours you will see what I am talking about. On the non-40th they are not painted.

i see exactly what you guys are talking about now....the dark gray in the cutouts is the difference....can I buy a new one from Toyota? Is it common for the clear to flake off...mine is really bad around the center cap area....doesnt seem right for a 97 with less than 70,000 miles thats been in South Carolina its whole life.

Yes, you can buy them from Cdan or another dealer. They cost a ton though. I have some used one for sale if you are interested then send me a PM and I'll send you a link.
