hi all, I own both an unrestored '77 45-series and a '08 200-series Diesel, the later with a roll-over accident but otherwise everything working.

I´m playing with the idea of putting the 45 cab and tray onto the 200 series chassis. I´m aware of the need to move the 200 engine back within the frame, and the need to lengthen the wheelbase by some 40cm. Also, 200 chassis is far wider than 45, so either huge fenders or a cab widening of the 45-parts will be required. I´m experienced with CAD, welding, and willing to burn a lot of hours on this project :)

Has anybody already done a 40 series on a 200 chassis? Any experience would be very helpful to me.

Thanks, Felix

I’ve not seen a 45 on a 200… yet.

45 and 4 door 40 series on a 60 seems… yes

4 door on an 80 series… yes. Aqualu Industries makes/made 4 door bodies for that exact purpose.

Sometimes the axles are swapped… and sometimes the body is narrowed and rims with shallower have been used.

Somewhere on here I have seem a widened and taller 40 I think on an 80 frame. It was spectacular.
