FF rear axle housing for a 40 Series. I’m located in BC Canada and would need to be shipped on a pallet.

I will be parting out a 78 fj45 in a few months with one if you can wait. Maybe the axle will go full circle back to Canada

thanks but I’m looking for the later model with handbrake option and 4 bolt flange….

If you don’t find one there’s adapters available to convert it to 4-bolt.

FROR also sells weld-in FZJ80 spindles you could weld to any semifloat housing and run the FZJ80 disc/parking brake combo, 70 shafts are available new.
Just some options if you weren’t aware.

Thanks for the heads up. I may have to go that route if nothing presents itself

Do you have a link or is this something that you need to get in touch with Brian to order? I have been looking for a set of 80 series ff rear spindles.

call Brian. They also might not sell them on their own, I think he doesn't sell a lot of his stuff unless it's welded to one of his axles (I don't blame him at all)

Cool, thanks! Last I asked him (about 3 years ago) they did have them yet. He would be building the housing anyways, so that works out perfect

sorry to ask but what is FF stay for?
Full float(er). i.e. the weight is taken by hub bearings on a spindle rather than the axle shaft supported by a bearing inside the axle housing. More 'heavy duty' and the wheel doesnt fall off if you twist/break the axle shaft.

I’d be interested in that rear axle when the time comes. PM me details
Thx
Pat
