3speed-tcase linkage confusion (1 Viewer)

well i'm about done with the tcase rebuild (only taking me 3 months to get it done).
i cant seem to make any sence of my linkage and wonder if you pros could straighten me out.

or setup 2 (lever is flipped upside down from setup 1):

thanks gusy. it looked from wear on the arm that it went "setup 1" but i swear when i took it apart it was "setup 2". i guess that's what i get for working in subfreezing temperatures until 12midnight.

Someone may have put it together wrong the first time. It might just work fine that way anyway.

When I re-built mine and put it back I must have done something wrong because I was able to push the lever directly to the right in 2wd to give me a 2wd Low Range without putting it in 4wd first. Don't know if it is harmfull or not, but a nice surprise.

That's a common mod. Very handy to have 2Lo. 8)
