3rz swap O2 sensor question (1 Viewer)

Recently installed an 04 Tacoma 2rzfe in my 86 4Runner. Runs great. I have the front denso 02 sensor installed. I have the 2nd 02 just plugged in reading open air. It's throwing code p0136. I just have straight pipe and a muffler no cats. So would installing the downstream 02 sensor before the muffler not throw a code? Thanks

you need a sensor spacer or resistor trick or a cat to fool the sensor.

yes.
i don't have experience with the spacer but people swear by them.
i resisor modded mine and it works fine unless I have to to do a bunch of stop and go traffic.
