Hi folks, bought a 97 US spec 80 series a couple months back. Currently messing with the third row. The driver side jump seat black hinge won’t attach to the rail on the wheel well so it doesn’t lock into place and wobbles. Neither side will latch into the floor. I don’t use the third row so don’t care too much that it doesn’t latch into the floor but for the life of me can’t get it to firmly attach to the rail to secure. The passenger side was secure and I removed it to see if it was bent or something and it seems to be the same tried to put it back in and now that side also won’t fully lock into place

Do you have any pics? I have the 3rd row on a shelf in the garage but I don’t recall anything unique about them that would prevent latching.

The lock mechanism gets sticky if it isn't used often. It needs silicon grease, not spray oil, and a little operating time, and it'll work.

It's also very picky about getting aligned, when it sits on the floor rail. Both ends have to be in contact, or it won't fully seat. If you look closely, you see how it needs to be mounted. Once it's installed, it should latch in place, if the mechanism is free.
