Hi everyone! I plan on attending for at least Thursday, and possibly Friday. Driving up from San Diego.

I’ll be accompanied by a buddy w/ a GX470 and I’ll be there in my Cruiser. I look forward to making some friends and having a blast!

P.S. - is there a HAM radio channel established for that event?
Awesome! Glad you decide to join us and looking forward to meeting you and your buddy.
Our club uses frequency 146.535. However when we have some GMRS only radios, we use channel 4 or 462.637. We’ll fix the channel when we meet up.

It is tempting…
Get them. Those White Knuckles worked well on my rig on the Rubicon Trail…

Hoooly.... is this what the trails will be like?? I may be in over my head on my bone stock 100!
:steer:That picture was taken on the Rubicon Trail where the sliders were put to use to help position the rig.

The Big Bear trails are mild in comparison. I took my stock LC100 to scout the trails and stock XJ Cherokee on some of them in my past life as a Jeeper.

I’ll be attending the run. CACAUTE shell hasn’t been broken.
Are there any particular trails you would like to exercise your rig on? The trio of technical trails are Holcomb Creek 4x4, Gold Mountain, and John Bull. I will have my winch working just in case! 🤣

Are we planning on hitting any difficult stuff on Saturday? I'd hate to miss all the action.

It’s Big Bear A Thon…
We can wheel all day and then some after dark if you wish! Come early so you can help us with the planning. We typically match the trail to the capability of the rigs in attendance. It’s then up to the individual drivers to decide if they want to give their rig a partial or a full workout.
Do you have skid plates?

No skids. I can get there as early as Friday, around 2 pm.

See you on Friday. I’ll post the frequency of our radio and you can raise us that way or telephone might work as well. Cell service is pretty pervasive on that slope of the mountain. I’m sending you a PM

Another possibility is that we split up into a couple groups (easy trail and hard trail) depending on how many show up and if we can get volunteer trail leaders?
Absolutely.
Any one want to volunteer to lead a trail run? I’d like the hard stuff so will need help with the easy run.

Club flags shipped out today and will be available for the Big Bear-a-thon. Great way to identify, promote and support our club!!

We will be there Friday to Sunday, look forward to seeing everyone.

Safe travels!!!
