Hello …

Does your 1992 3F-E equipped FJ80 currently have in-place :

- a External Fan Blade style / type alternator..

- or ?

- a Internal Fan-Type / Style Alternator …

- if you could please post more then 2+ photos of your current set-up , as in the front pulley side , the back in-put connector plug and wires rearward facing side ..and the side-side as you see and look at it from the drivers side fender looking down straight at it …

or peaking under the Air-Injection pump of course if yours is still in-place ..,

.
This is a very important step in time as it relates to you & your FJ80’s current & particular alternator and charging system as a whole …

Because , in addition to the 2 toyota original factory options that I ask the description of the Fan Blade style / type ..
- over the last 33 to 35 exact 3F-E years to date …. 🫨 ( yea ….that’s what I thought 💭 when I tap-tapped 2025-1992 =…. into my iPhone 📱)

- people & things called places , have conjured up a few alternatives that do not originate from Japan …

- this helps further explain the initial approach of base-line photos ..

..

I just picked one up at the local parts store. They only had a 90-amp, so I modified the alternator mounting ear so it fit right. I've already warrantied it once, but with a lifetime warranty and a nationwide chain of stores, I can replace it whenever it decides to act up. They gave me no problems about the modification to the alternator case. Just my 2 cents and personal experience.

Just tossed on a new non-OE from rockauto.. makes volts, not excited about it having a wiring plug adapter but oh well.

Not to de-rail, but how do you like the Liland radiator. I'll be in the market for a radiator soon and have been considering my options.
Put it in this spring, have 4k miles on it with a steamy GSMTR trip with A/C going full blast and daily highway mountain passes without issue. I used the 1469AA2R, had to leave side brackets loose until it was sitting in the radiator mounts then tighten everything up and had to use foam to seal the fan shroud.

Much cheaper than the OEM diesel rad option and seemed more reliable than the ebay $150 ones.
