Any one have any great insight on how to remove the precombustion cups/chambers from the head? I know there is a specific toyota tool to use, but aside from selling my first born to buy the thing i was wondering if any one has an idea.
Thanks for the time

Hi Bob,
I have the same problem and wondered if you managed to find a way to do this without buying the tool.
Thanks

I was able to pull all of mine out using a wrench, but they were cracked. I'm sure you could use a bearing puller, I've seen those types of pullers before

I use an old round file that just fits through the injector hole. I find jamming it in and out vigorously works well. If that dosent work I bash it with Mjölnir.g

if you dont plan on keeping them, you could always try a slide hammer if u got one

precup removal

use the glowplug hole instead, a flat 3/16 punch or a screwdriver should do the job. Also to prevent future crack from your new precup you should remove any burr in the edge of your precup using a small file.
