Anyone know of a good place to get a rebuilt 3B my 82 BJ42 has has had low oil pressure for years and it starting to loose power… and it doesn’t have power to loose 🤪. Also anyone swapped a 6.5 GM… I think the HUMMWV is 24volt as well 🤔… don’t know shy to do next

Buying a rebuilt 3b off the shelf is a tall order in the USA. Having your original 3b rebuilt as long as there isn't a hole in it is pretty straight forward although not every part is still available (im not sure what would be needed in your rebuild) . consider the 13bt, 15bft, 1hz or 1hdt before the GM 6.5. They can be made to bolt to a h55. You already have fj60 steering so your part way done. 24volt vs 12volt factor is small by comparison.

I just installed a 15B-FT in my BJ70 to replace my 3B. It has been an absolute game changer on the highway and a clear improvement around town.

As a possible aid in your research ... It is my understanding that there might be a few 15B-FT conversions in the Austin area. I have found that seeing is believing. To this end, @AlbertoSD might be able to help connect you with some 15B-FT conversions and conversion expertise closer to you. Plus, Alberto is wrapping installation of a 15B-FT in his BJ42 so he can relate directly to what you may encounter.

Good luck
