On my RHD BJ74 it mounts on the driver side of the engine bay. I think it is the only electrical plug of that shape. Joe is correct that it is a mini fusebox. I lost the bracket for mine so I'll have to fab something.
 
Auxilary fuse box for accesories.

The rig is 24v...Im thinking that would be the same...but hoping 12v...Its a non issue due to the fact I have no idea where it connects to or have the cable
 
I can get a photo of the plug hanging in my engine bay.
Yes it is 24V, or mine is anyway.
 
Owyhee can you either take a pic or trace where it's plug comes from?
 
Hello,

It is a power outlet box. As it has been mentioned already, it allows connecting accessories without hacking the electrical system.

It includes fuses to ease things.

You can connect accessories directly or to be used with the ignition key in ACC or ON.
