I want to buy a new alternator but for the life of me i can not find one. I don't want to rebuild this one. any help will be great

Rebuilt, you dont have much chance unless you want a brand new one from toyota. Those alternateur have a vaccum pump, so aftermarket alternatives are rare...i never found one. Search you might find other options that people have done.

Plenty in australia but they cost around $3-400 + $180 express postage.
With the hit and miss alternator rebuilds that go on for months on this forum ,I would just fork out the cash and go new.
Is this 12v or 24v?
12V is probably easier to find. But i recall when i decided to have mine rebuilt i went with a rebuilt as i could find a 24V with vaccum pump that would replace mine.

Canadian BJ42 have external voltage regulator.
Rebuilt it... period ! Much less expensive.
