Ok so I purchased a set of 37x14x15 Iroks. I have 15x8 wheels and I cant remember what back spacing they are. My problem is I went 4wheeling a couple weeks ago and cracked one of my wheels so it leaks bad now. Well new wheels are a must now. Im just not sure what back spacing I should go with. I dont want tires sticking way out of the fenders, a couple inches is fine, but thats it.I would really love it if nothing would rub. I also want to keep a 8 inch wide wheel. I found a set of wheels that are 15x8 with 4" back spacing that are in my budget range, so would 4" back spacing work for my needs?

Truck is a 91
J lift with 1" body
1" spacer in front. Im gonna remove this for a 1.5 or 2" Metal Tech for the front.
1" Man-a-fre spacer for the rear.

not sure, but i'd love to see a pic of the rig. lol

Pics will come as soon as I find out what wheels to buy...lol

Will 15" wheels fit over the calipers ok? If so then you can use any backspacing you want. Do you run flares? If so then 15x8 with 4" BS will stay under the flare. I have 17x9 with 4.5" BS and they stick outside the wheel well maybe an inch or so, and that is without flares on a 12.5" actual width tire.

BTW a 15x8 with 4" BS is that same as a stock wheel as far as how far it will stick out. You shouldnt have a problem, but if you really want to be safe you can order 2-3" BS and you will for sure stay under the truck.

If you can find a straight edge that will sit on the lip of the wheel on either side (at the back of the wheel), without being lifted up by the bulge of the tire, you should be able to take a tape measure to the mounting surface on the face that contacts the hub. This will tell you your BS (back spacing).

I believe fj80's are different than fzj80's, but you should be around 4" stock. Although those Iroks are fat, you will need a fair bit less back spacing to keep them from rubbing, I have 37x13.5R17 nittos on fjcruiser wheels(17"x 7", 4.5" BS) with 1.5" spacers (net 3" BS) in the front and back to limit the rubbing, and they dont stick out too far from the fenders on my 92 fj80.

BTW, Irok's are sweet! post some pics!
