Hi. I'm a newbie to this forum. Currently I have an FJ40 with a 350 Sb Chev with Delco Remy HEI and Holley 600. Currently having issues with my carby and looking at options. I have issues when im on weird angles. I have bern told an economical option is a quadrajet Carby. Anyone have experience with these in off-road applications? Cheers.

Check out the Edelbrock carb 1406

and the optional spring loaded needle and seats
This is exactly what I’m running.
It’s an easy carburetor to work on. Works perfectly.

When you talk about extreme angles are you talking side to side or front to rear?

If it is front to rear then look for Holley vent whistle. Once installed they will solve your issue.

Ok, study ebay #265210899173, especially the last three drawings- - -if you can't go fuel injection then resort to the float bowl baffling and vent chimney idea.
