I'm going to put on some 18" steel wheels and 275-70/18 BFG KM3 M/Ts . These tires are 33" tall.

Will I have any fitment issues with 33" tires? I have an OME suspension coming in ,in a few weeks but hoping I can do the tires first.

Thanks

Here's a pic of mine I've posted in the thread a couple weeks ago. I got 285/70/17, looking at the tire calculator it is .5" off what you will have. Based on the clearance I have, I wouldn't expect you to have any issues street driving until your lift gets in.

Also if no one else has input on running that size pre-lift, I can get out there tomorrow and measure where it is kind of tight and snap pics to possibly help you out.

I have a ‘13 LX. No lift of any type and 33” tires, 275/60/20. The LX goes into a ‘low’ mode on the suspension for ops up to 7mph. The 33s don’t rub even in ‘low’. I don’t love my tires but love the 275 in 33”. The speedo is dead-on. Stock gearing is maginally acceptable and the brakes still work well. Gas mileage is fine too, no real penalty*.

*I’m a geek so when I say no penalty I mean no penalty. I have included GPS correction factor for ODO readings and use a calculator for mpg calculations. Another interesting thing is the dashboard mpg reading is now damn near dead-on.

I have 275/70/18 ko2 on stock wheels with spider trax 1.25" spacers, and 1 inch OEM front lift...I rub full left and right lock with front mudflaps... I removed the front mud flaps now I only rub about 1cm just a slight skim on the front wheel well at full lock reverse wheel turned to the left. Other than that no issue at all! Even at full flex..

Is anyone running 33/12.5/18 KM3 on a stock height 200? I had these on a stock 99 lx 470 with 1.25” spacers and they were great. -I know the BFG 33 is actually a 32.5” tall tire

I have 33 inch tires on mine and I did have some rubbing at hard over even with my OME bp51 installed but if you plan to put a lift on very soon , you should be ok

When people say “no issues” fitting 33s, does that include the spare?
The spare location can fit up to a 34" tire but it starts to hang a little low.

Thanks! I'm looking at getting 285/70/17 which is one size down from yours, so should be fine then. Does it hang "low" because something is blocking it from being pulled up all the way?
Even in a given tread width as the sidewall gets taller there is more bulge, and this pushes the whole assembly down a little, as well as makes the bulge facing downward go lower. (I’m trying not to laugh as I type this)
It’s all a function of the spare tire crossmember location between the frame rails. Also I think the evap canister is on top of it so you are limited in ability to move it.

Side question, I noticed that several replies mention going to slightly narrower 275 vs the std 285s. I have been thinking of doing the same. Going to 275/65/R18 which would be ~.4" skinnier and ~.6" taller. Going to 275/70/R18 which be ~33.2 seems to be where folks are starting to see rubbing on a stock suspension. I would be grateful to hear thoughts as bit more clearance while gaining a bit less rolling resistance.

Just my opinion her, I did much research before my purchase and I ended up with...............

295/65/18.

Diameter: 33.1"

Width: 11.6"

Sidewall: 7.5"

Circum: 103.9"

Revs/Mile: 610

It gave me the height of a true 33 inch tire and better width than the stock tires

Possibly I missed something in this thread I now assume you are only interested in K02's I run the Goodyear Duratracs and personally love them !

I have the stock wheels but Painted black and I am running 1.25 " wheel spacers, Mine did rub but I worked on some of the near by ares and now no longer rub on hard overs.

If it fits with a lift it will fit without a lift...

I am looking at the Duratracs as well; what size are you running? I am trying to avoid suspension changes or lifts but want the biggest size I can fit without modifications, other than maybe spacers.

Well i have a OME bp51 set up, so I would only be able to to tell ya what i no with this set up, I never even thought twice about the OME, it is proven for the 200 series and I can vouch for that as well
