Promised long long time ago to post some pics of my Hundy. Recently did the 863 install with the OME tbars and Slee's diff drop. I changed out the 275/70s and am running some left-over 315s from my FZJ80 that have some good tread left. I will eventually step it down to 255/85s or 285s on the 16s super-lame factory chromies.

And yes to anyone wondering from my earlier contentious thread I do have adjusted alignment! It no longer tracks like it used to but the same as every other lifted Cruiser. Power loss with the 315s is not that noticable and I at least feel like a man driving it now:

Looks good! how do you like the ride on those 863"s? I think they are meant to have constand load such as a custom bumper, tire carrier, etc. I have the 866's on and think they ride pretty good. Except I would like that extra lift you get out of the 863"s

If you're looking for a little more lift with your 866's you can always add a couple OME trim packers. You can add as much as 20 mm on top of each coil. I think this is a better way to go personally. I've run 863's and 866's and I think the 866's ride about the same, if not better than the 863's. Even with a Slee rear bumper, I was always a little too high in the rear with 863's except when I was loaded down for Moab.

Great looking!
It would look nicer without them running boards:flipoff2:

I would think the 864s were truly for that, but the 863s seem to be a pretty good all-around spring rate. Granted thoguh the height itself is more matched to the 80 series and leaves the 100 with a rake.

All said though, the 100 is the wife's DD and our road-trip Cruiser which means on anything more than a quick runabout is loaded to the top with the wife's crap and the kid's toys and the dog (and my small backpack in the back seat) :) so the 100 is often loaded up pretty well.

On my 80, I would make 863s drag with the junk we'd carry on extended trips and had to move to 864s, so they (863s) seemed natural for the 100.

It's not so much if the springs were designed for an 80 or 100...but more the load carrying capacity needed for each rig. I ran the 863's and they were too soft...went with a custom spring from Christo/Darren which as a .5mm larger wire diameter than the 863 but about 20-25mm shorter overall length and they are perfect for my rig configuration and load carrying needs.
