I have an unusual request ....

I'm thinking about switching to Bfg AT 315/75/16 to act as a rubber overdrive to bring down my RPMs.

Thing is, I don't know for sure how much of an rpm drop I'll see and don't want drop 1k to find out.

If anyone would be willing (and there is beer in it for you;)) I would like to put their wheels and tires on my truck, run down the highway and come right back to see if this bigger size would suit my needs.

Message me or post on here if you would be willing to help me out

What size you running now?

When I went from 33s to 35s on my tow rig I think my rpm dropped about 150 rpm with a powerstroke. Too bad you can't fit 15" wheels you could try the ones on my 40

Just get em, wheel the dog out of em, don't look back! I noticed lower RPM on my 45 when I went up to 33's, but I never had overdrive, so...Tough call!

I'm running 315's on my 80 and you are more than welcome to try them out but I'm in Knoxville!! Just let me know. Rance

Where ya' at? I've got those (315-75R16 bfg at's) on my 40. If your close to clarksville, feel free to stop by and give them a shot. Though your title will be in my hands until you get back. ;)

That's awesome! I'm in Nashville right near the airport off Stewart's Ferry.

Sent you a PM

Use this online calculator to figure your RPMs. It was designed to calculate t-case and tranny combinations, but it also has a tire size variable that you can play with, then it will show you actual RPMs at different speeds/gear selections. He has just about every manufactured t-case, tranny and doubler on the market.

Anyone else local?

I gues most guys are running 37's these days huh!

Got some 35 12.5 15 ,not sure what that work out to

Hey Dan I'm down in Spring Hill, you can use mine off my 80, They're new Cooper 315s MTs - not sure if MT/AT and/or tire brand matters for your calculation purposes.
