300 series rumors???

fuel economy figures got registered in Saudi/GCC database.
3.5 (V35A-FTS/AJA0F) = 10.1 Km/L
4.0 (1GR-FE/AC60F) = 9.4 Km/L

No figures for the diesel yet.

No more manual transmission (at least for the GCC market) and as far a is know no more optional spare tire carrier.
An electric winch will be available as an option on select 1GR 300s.

So far no proof of manual transmission existing with the 300.

Rear locker should be standard on most 300s in our market with the exception of the fully loaded 300 which will have a torque sensing LSD.
Front and rear locker is also standard on more than half of the 300 range.
This is in addition to crawl control/turn assist/multi terrain select/a-trc/down hill assist control, that is standard on all the 300s, regardless if they have lockers or not.

Would be cool if they used the same locker switch that we're used to.

Really on paper this is sounding even more capable in stock form than a 200, but still no idea about angles and wading depth.

Some 2022 LCs will have front and rear diff locks, as well as CRAWL and the usual stuff.

**Please note there are all rumors and not confirmed, but this account is generally pretty accurate and leaks LC/LX information before anyone else.**

Edit: my bad, didn’t see that @Brown98LC already posted most of this.

The Tundra will also have 6 lug starting MY22. It is looking like Tacoma/Tundra and now LC will all have shared 139.7X6 PCD

I wonder if the lug size will still stay the same or decrease back down? Now that they are going back to 6-lug design specification.

Oooooh! Can we see the front and rear diff locks??

Looks like Eaton units, Brian. At least for the RR (you can see the electrical connection in the schematic of the carrier assy).

The front looks similar. Both have separate switch part numbers and switches. Will be interesting to see if they can be used independently.

The front differential has the yoke flange already pressed with stud for the propeller shaft. Interesting. And of course, you cannot get them separately. The the nuts for the prop shaft at M11 nuts so ostensibly. M11 studs could be used from a 60 series output flange.

Thank you!

They are probably GKN diffs, formerly TFS Japan. 2016 and up Tacoma, Jeep, Nissan, and others use them. In the Taco, Toyota went through great lengths to prevent operation in anything but low range 4x4.... folks may have figured out a solution by now, but it's not a simple add/cut a wire bypass, like the 2nd gen. They also use a higher voltage to activate the locking coil, and then a lower voltage to maintain lock.... crazy stuff.
