Well, count me as one of the people who actually plans to use this thing the way it was intended to be used!

Unreal scenery. Amazing rig. Lots of funny looks along the way and a woman who told me that these trails are for serious 4x4s only haha.

You sir, are an intrepid soul. There was a YT video a couple of years back with a stock white 16+ 570 on Imogene. He ripped his front lip off, though the video did not show how. It appears you came through the trails unscathed. Any trail reports? Planning a trip for early September with the 700 and 200...

You'd have you really try to damage your truck on Imogene in my opinion. I ran a stock GX550 through there and Poughkeepsie without issue.

Yes, please give a report on how the chin performed in those trails. The AHC is amazing in lifting the truck a whole lot, so I would think you did well and no scratches or damage. Been there twice already with my 200 and the scenery is awesome. Sure plan to go back once I manage to get my OT.

I wish I could say I came through completely unscathed, but I did get my passenger rear wheel in a crack and ended up rashing it pretty badly. It was a dumb mistake and a place where there are half a dozen lines to take that wouldn't have resulted in any damage. I am hoping the spare is the same wheel and plan to just swap it for the spare spot. Anyone know if the spare wheel is the same design?

Never once hit the front or rear bumper. My brother kept commenting how deceiving the approach angle really was - it looked like we'd have problems on many obstacles, but never actually did. Never hit the side steps. Never dragged a diff or touched a skid plate. One very close call on Imogene where I slid towards a very large log in the rain, but fortunately missed it by a centimeter.

I did have the luxury of having my brother in a power wagon ahead of me who spotted for me in more than a few places. The sketchiest places were where you have to put a wheel on the very edge of the downhill side of the trail and hope the gravel edge doesn't sluff off, which it did once! Thank goodness for my brother's winch.

In order of technical difficulty (most to least):

Imogene -- not sure if I would do this one if traveling alone
Mineral Creek
Engineer Pass
Cinnamon Pass

Will definitely go back!

Thanks. Glad to hear the chin did well. The departure is really good in the OT lifted by the AHC. Better than a 200 I think. I would bet the spare is a match.

A preview of my working prototype!

Super super super dumb question but could you buy a Land Cruiser GR front grill from Australia and install it on the lx700h?

I really doubt that it'll be worth it, when it's all said and done. Probably cheaper to just get a Dissent slim bumper and will prob give you a better approach angle. Unless you really want a GR bumper.

U could do it. The fenders hood headlights and bumper would all need to be replaced but would not be worth it. U may set off some nannies on the dash too

Oh heyyyy

Its on the Redit land cruiser page. It has portals. The earth one on 37s.

Maybe its just a video from dissetents (sp?) YouTube channel…
