I wish I could say I came through completely unscathed, but I did get my passenger rear wheel in a crack and ended up rashing it pretty badly. It was a dumb mistake and a place where there are half a dozen lines to take that wouldn't have resulted in any damage. I am hoping the spare is the same wheel and plan to just swap it for the spare spot. Anyone know if the spare wheel is the same design?
Never once hit the front or rear bumper. My brother kept commenting how deceiving the approach angle really was - it looked like we'd have problems on many obstacles, but never actually did. Never hit the side steps. Never dragged a diff or touched a skid plate. One very close call on Imogene where I slid towards a very large log in the rain, but fortunately missed it by a centimeter.
I did have the luxury of having my brother in a power wagon ahead of me who spotted for me in more than a few places. The sketchiest places were where you have to put a wheel on the very edge of the downhill side of the trail and hope the gravel edge doesn't sluff off, which it did once! Thank goodness for my brother's winch.
In order of technical difficulty (most to least):
Imogene -- not sure if I would do this one if traveling alone
Mineral Creek
Engineer Pass
Cinnamon Pass
Will definitely go back!
