I am currently working on 3 link for the front of my 40. The way I currently have it set up I have about 81% anti-squat ~ anti-dive according to the calculator. It dawned on me tonight that may work for the rear but what number should I shoot for on the front? :meh:

I did read on https://forum.ih8mud.com/hardcore-corner/410480-front-link-fj55-help-needed-design.html that it should be under 70% and above 50%. So would 60% be perferct?

Thanks for any help!!

After spending the night reading all about anti-dive, I realize there is no magic number that will work for everyone’s suspension. The type of suspension needs to play apart in your own number (ie air shocks, coilovers, or coils).

Anti-dive explained simply:

As anti-dive is added, a portion of the load transfer is resisted by the suspension arms. The spring and the suspension arms are sharing the load in some proportion. If a point is reached called “100-percent anti-dive,” all of the load transfer is resisted by the suspension arms and none is carried through the springs. When this happens there is no suspension deflection due to braking and no visible brake dive. There is still load transfer onto the wheels, but the chassis does not pitch nose down.

My lower links are 38" eye to eye and my upper will be around 30".

Thank you for the input! Are you happy with your braking and would you adjust + - either way?

My concern is if I have to brake at 65 mph, I don't want it to dive so much that the rear lifts and becomes unstable.
